Happy New Year! I've updated my website with information about my upcoming classes at the Mayslake Peabody Estate and College of DuPage. Class titles and dates are below. For more detailed descriptions and registration information, visit the Writing Classes page of my website. Note: these classes are usually small so please register at least two weeks before the first meeting to ensure a spot. Also, on Friday, January 22, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, I'll be presenting at a session of Sophia's Circle, a series of programs for women hosted at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Naperville. The program will be an introduction to Julia Cameron's The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity. The presentation is open to the public and you need not be Catholic to attend. If there's sufficient interest, we're hoping to offer a 12-week follow-up class. For details and registration information see the St. Thomas the Apostle website. If you're planning to attend, you need to register by January 19. My next class at Mayslake Peabody Estate will be a one-day workshop: Great Beginnings: How to Hook Readers and Keep Them Turning the Pages Saturday, January 30, 2016, 1—3:30 p.m. $30 I'll have two classes at COD this term: Six-Week Hands-On Workshop: Writing for Children and Teens Class meets Wednesdays, 7—9 p.m., April 6-May 11, 2016.
