In this issue: - One-Day Class at College of DuPage - Summer Writing Camps for Girls - Connect with me on Facebook One-Day Class at College of DuPage I'm scheduled to teach a one-day introduction to the children’s writing field, from picture books and magazines to teen novels, on Saturday, June 25, 2011, 9 a.m.—3:00 p.m. If you know anyone who may be interested, please help spread the word or the class may be canceled due to low enrollment. Students should register by June 15. For details, see: http://www.carmelamartino.com/events.htm Summer Writing Camps for Girls This summer, I will again teach my popular Girls Write and Girls Write On! writing camps at the Hinsdale Center for the Arts. Girls Write! is for girls entering grades 4-5, and will be held July 18 – July 22, 2011, 9:30 am – noon. Girls Write On! is for girls entering grades 6-8, and will be held July 25 – July 29, 2011, 9:30 am – noon Enrollment is limited, so register as soon as possible to ensure a spot in the class. Also, I've had several parents contact me because their daughters are unavailable on these dates, or they live too far from Hinsdale to attend the classes. I do occasionally offer in-home classes if we can get sufficient enrollment.
