Carmela's E-Newsletter: Spring 2016
April 22, 2016
Happy Spring! I've been busy working on a new project, trying to republish my out-of-print middle-grade novel, Rosa, Sola. After failing to find a publisher to do it for me, I've decided to independently publish it myself in ebook and paperback format. I'm still working on preparing and formatting the manuscript. But today I'm excited to share a "cover reveal" on our TeachingAuthors blog. Today also happens to be our blog's SEVENTH anniversary! To celebrate, I'm hosting a giveaway of THREE COPIES of the new edition of Rosa, Sola (which I hope to have available within the next month). Please stop by to let me know what you think of the new cover and enter for a chance to win! We also have a new Facebook page for our TeachingAuthors blog. I hope you'll "like" us there if you haven't already done so. I have only one adult class scheduled at College of DuPage this spring: One-day workshop: Writing with Details: Bringing Your Characters to Life Saturday, May 14, 2016. 9 a.m.—3 p.m. Course ID: HUMNT-0002-200. Cost: $95. Please bring a sack lunch. Note: these classes are usually small so please register at least two weeks before the first meeting to ensure a spot. I'll also be offering summer writing camps for children at Waubonsee Community College and Mayslake Peabody Estate. Please help spread the word to anyone you think may be interested. You can find detailed descriptions and registration information on the Writing Classes page of my website.
