Poems in Two Anthologies: Imperfect II & 10.10 Poetry Anthology
Carmela's poem "Backyard Dandelions" is included in Imperfect II Poems about Perspective: An Anthology for Middle Schoolers edited by Tabatha Yeatts (History House Publishers, April 2022.) The anthology features 80 poems by more than 50 poets from around the world. The collection is a tribute to the difficult work of keeping things in perspective.
"Backyard Dandelions" is a series of five haiku showing a variety of perspectives on what some consider a pesky weed.
Carmela also has three poems in the 10.10 Poetry Anthology: Celebrating 10 in 10 Different Ways edited by literacy educator Bridget Magee and featuring the work of 58 poets from around the world. The book's poems are divided into TEN categories that all involve the word TEN:
